New Red Dead Redemption 2 Mod Makes Improvements to Clothing

Spoiler Alert: The following text contains a major spoiler for Red Dead Redemption 2’s story.

In simpler terms, the game “Red Dead Redemption 2” has been updated with a modification that enhances its clothing system, making the gameplay feel more authentic and immersive. The game offers an extensive collection of Wild West-era outfits and accessories for players to select, ranging from everyday garments to outfits suitable for special events.

In contrast to previous Rockstar Games, the clothing in Red Dead Redemption 2 carries significant influence over the player. Dressing according to the seasonal weather can be vital for success and may even impact the protagonist’s health directly. Furthermore, select outfits in Red Dead Redemption 2 come with unique benefits for the player, such as enhanced Dead Eye. Notably, this aspect of the game has seen a significant enhancement through a recent community-led update.

New Red Dead Redemption 2 Mod Fixes Clothing Issues, Also Adds New Items

This modification, known as the Catalogue Improvements mod by iAbokai and Suika, found on Nexus Mods since August 31, addresses several issues with Arthur Morgan’s wardrobe in Red Dead Redemption 2. Specifically, it rectifies a problem where certain parts of his attire interfere with the character model, leading to a visually glitched appearance. Furthermore, the mod ensures that John Marston’s bandolier now fits properly around their torso, enhancing the game’s overall realism.

To ensure optimal functionality, it’s essential to have Lenny’s Mod Loader and ScriptHookRDR2 & Asiloader installed prior to using this mod.

In addition to the game, Red Dead Redemption 2 players can now enjoy new varieties of bow ties, work gloves, and lanterns, among other items. For protagonist John Marston, there are newly added outfits that were initially omitted from the main story, including The Elegant Suit. As for equine enhancements, horses have received updates with the addition of horseshoes and an extra weapon holster. The mod’s description hints at further, unspecified changes in this update, waiting to be discovered by players.

Recently, “Red Dead Redemption 2” surpassed another sales milestone, with more than 77 million copies sold across various platforms. Given the absence of recent official updates from Rockstar Games, it appears they might be gearing up to phase out support for this third-person shooter game. But as long as the gaming community remains active and creative, showcasing captivating mods like the “Catalogue Improvements” mod, there’s a chance players will continue to engage with the 2018 release.
