Lots of new romance anime are on the way, and 2026 looks promising! While we don’t know everything that’s planned for later in the year, dozens of romance anime have already been announced, with many starting this winter. No matter what kind of romance you enjoy – funny stories, serious dramas, fantasy worlds, or harem settings – you’ll find something to love in the months ahead.
There are so many romance anime coming out this year that some really good ones might get overlooked. We’re aiming to keep track of all the love stories debuting in 2026, including both brand new shows and continuations of existing series. Hopefully, this year’s lineup will be even better than the strong romance anime we saw in 2025.
We’ve organized the new romance anime by season, clearly separating new series from continuing ones. We’ve also included a section for anime planned for 2026 that haven’t confirmed a new season yet.
I have only included shows that prioritize romance to an extent. Also, no movies or OVAs.
