New Shadow The Hedgehog Trademark Quietly Registered by SEGA

SEGA has recently applied for a new trademark for the character Shadow the Hedgehog, leading many fans to wonder what this means for the future.

Shadow the Hedgehog is a fan-favorite character, and SEGA appears to be planning a new game featuring him. The previous game he starred in, Sonic and Shadow Generations, was a big success, selling over a million copies on its first day.

A New Shadow the Hedgehog Trademark Has Been Filed

SEGA recently filed a trademark for Shadow the Hedgehog in Japan, covering items like clothing, toys, and educational materials. The filing also includes home video game consoles, which has led fans to speculate about a possible new game – perhaps even a remake. The trademark was first noticed by SonicCity, but SEGA hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet.

While we’re awaiting official news from SEGA, fans can enjoy the latest installment in the series, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. This new racing game lets players compete on tracks across various environments – land, sea, air, and even space – and use Travel Rings to jump between dimensions. The game launched with 24 tracks, the ability to warp to 15 different CrossWorlds using those rings, 45 unique vehicles, 70 gadgets, and 23 playable Sonic characters, including Shadow the Hedgehog.
