New Steam Game is Free-to-Play and Has ‘Very Positive’ Reviews

Steam has plenty of free games for PC players, but most don’t get amazing reviews. However, the newly released game Everyday Devil is an exception, currently holding an impressive 98% positive rating on Steam.

I’ve been checking out Everyday Devil, and it looks really interesting. I know narrative games aren’t for everyone – some people need a lot of complex gameplay, and that’s cool – but Dispatch in 2025 showed how amazing a story-focused game can be. This one seems different from other similar projects, though. It’s mixing things up! The trailer showed me a bunch of different styles – I’ll be exploring in first-person and top-down, having conversations, and even hatching something like a Tamagotchi. It definitely has a bit of Undertale in its DNA, especially with the top-down view and black text boxes. But the way they animate the dialogue is really cool and unique – the characters are a little shaky, which actually adds to the unsettling feeling the game is going for.
