New Tarkov Event Rewards Players With The Game’s Most Coveted Item

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in the digital battlefields of Escape from Tarkov, I must say that the latest pre-wipe event has truly added a new level of excitement to my gaming routine. The prospect of unlocking the elusive Kappa secure container is an aspiration shared by many hardcore fans like myself, and this event provides a unique opportunity to do just that.

In the game Escape from Tarkov, developed by Battlestate Games, a fresh pre-wipe event has commenced. This special event offers players one of the highly sought-after and valued items within the game’s environment – the elusive Kappa.

Among the prized objectives for dedicated gamers is the Kappa secure container, which they strive to uncover following each game restart (or wipe). Acquiring it demands a significant investment of time and energy; however, by successfully completing this quest designed by Battlestate Games, you can claim your possession.

Temporary Greatness

The only drawback to this event is that you’ll lose Kappa when the game wipes in the coming weeks – but for those weeks, you’ll feel like a legend. Typically, each new wipe brings around a ‘race to Kappa’, with many streamers participating to see who can unlock the aspirational item the fastest.

Completing Kappa, a challenging mission involving gathering multiple scarce objects and finishing numerous missions within the game, is usually beyond reach for most players. This task is so difficult that it’s only achievable before the game undergoes a wipe, an event happening approximately every six months.

How to Unlock Kappa in Tarkov

To obtain Kappa, you must finish the latest ‘Dark Times’ mission that Fence, one of Escape from Tarkov’s merchants, assigns to you.

In “Dark Times,” players must explore the Factory at night and eliminate 30 targets exclusively with the TOZ-16, a rather unwieldy and seemingly unnecessary weapon in the game. However, if you choose the right ammunition, completing this mission within only a handful of runs is feasible.

It’s worth stressing that you need to eliminate 30 targets, and not just PMCs. That means you can run in, blitz through fields of Scav enemies, and then hey presto, you’ve unlocked Kappa for the remainder of the wipe.

Enjoy using the safe box as it won’t last long – maybe the extra storage will inspire you to pursue Kappa during the next server reset, we’ll see!
