At the start of the CDL’s Major III qualifiers, the Vegas Falcons unveiled their revamped lineup, yet this strengthened team couldn’t conquer the formidable Vancouver Surge, resulting in a 0-3 defeat for Vegas. This latest loss extends the Vegas Falcons’ dismal record to a 20-game losing streak in the Call of Duty League, further cementing their status as the most unsuccessful team in the annals of COD esports.
It’s regrettable to share this news, given the ardent expectations of fans who fervently hoped that the rejuvenated team would manage to pull off a win, somewhere or somehow.
Falcons Down
Over the past few days, my excitement has been skyrocketing as I’ve learned that the Vegas Falcons have brought together a fresh lineup, featuring Pred, Arcitys, and Priestahh – all world championship winners! On paper, it appears to be an eclectic mix, but the bond between these players and their chemistry seems yet to be solidified. Unfortunately, our first test against Vancouver Surge didn’t go as planned, with a tough 0-3 defeat.
It’s no wonder, really – the team has just been formed recently, and they’re immediately going head-to-head with one of the top teams in the league at the moment.
On none of the three battlefields did the Falcons manage a retaliation; they lost rather swiftly to the squad that secured the runner-up position in the recently concluded Major II tournament.
Currently, it seems highly improbable that the Vegas Falcons will qualify for COD Champs. This is quite surprising, given Pred’s recent victory in the Call of Duty League Championship in Texas, where he proudly waved the OpTic banner. Some fans speculate that a substantial sum of money, perhaps even record-breaking, has been offered by the Saudi-backed Vegas Falcons to attract these talented players.
Through an unexpected turn of events, Exnid emerged as the standout performer when the Vegas Falcons suffered defeats. With him being the last Saudi Arabian player remaining on the team following the roster cuts, one could imagine Exnid feeling out of place, but he’s managing these changes with poise and grace.
Today marks an unfortunate day for the Vegas Falcons, currently grappling with an unprecedented 0-20 losing streak. Could this year’s Call of Duty League Major pass them by without a single victory in their series?
