New World: Aeternum – Siege of Sulfur event starting February 4th

Amazon Games revealed that the next in-game event for New World, called Siege of Sulfur, will take place between February 4th and 24th.

Here’s the details, directly from the official blog:

The Mage carts carrying valuable sandwurm eggs have suffered breakdowns across several regions. Each Mage has erected a protective shield around their cargo, but it won’t hold forever. We need immediate assistance in Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, Edengrove, Mourningdale, and Brimstone Sands to help secure the eggs.

Join forces with at least 10 other players (level 60 or higher) to protect sandwurm eggs from attacking Sulfur Elementals between February 4th and February 24th, 2025. You’ll have a chance to win a Mini-Devourer hat skin, a unique item for your house, and other rewards! This year’s event features improved gear – all event items now scale up to a Gear Score of 700, and you can even find items with a Gear Score of 710 each day.

Participating in the event will earn you rewards, which depend on how well you perform against the enemies. Specifically, defending a single egg will get you:

  • One GS700 procedural weapon or armor piece
  • Some level-appropriate consumables
  • A chance at some random loot, including refining resources, perk items, rare resources, or crafting schematics
  • A 50% chance to earn 1 Obsidian Gypsum (standard 3x loot limit)

If you defend two eggs:

  • 1-2 GS700 procedural weapons or armor pieces
  • Some level-appropriate consumables
  • A chance at some random loot, including refining resources, perk items, rare resources, or crafting schematics
  • A 80% chance to earn 1 Obsidian Gypsum (standard 3x loot limit)

Three eggs:

  • Two GS700 procedural weapons or armor pieces
  • Some level-appropriate consumables
  • A chance at some random loot, including refining resources, perk items, rare resources, or crafting schematics
  • Guaranteed 1 Obsidian Gypsum (standard 3x loot limit)

You’ll also get lots of great rewards, including powerful, randomly generated weapons, armor, and even rare Dark Matter.

New World: Aeternum is out now for PC and consoles.
