Nexon’s CEO, Junghun Lee, has publicly defended his company’s use of AI in games, claiming it’s far more widespread than people think. He stated that virtually all game companies are now using AI in some way, and dismissed concerns about AI-generated voices in their game, ARC Raiders, as unfounded.
Should We Ignore The AI-Generated Voices in ARC Raiders?

Let’s start by assuming all game companies are already using artificial intelligence. Since everyone has access to similar tools, the key challenge is figuring out how to stand out from the competition. The best way to do that is to develop a strategy that makes your company more competitive.
AI has definitely improved efficiency in both game production and live service operations.
AI helps Embark Studios launch and continually update their game quickly and affordably. They’re also using machine learning to create more lifelike movement for enemies. However, the AI-generated voices have been controversial, and many players aren’t sure if they’re comfortable with this technology becoming commonplace in games.
