At the Xbox Developer Direct event, it was revealed that the game “Ninja Gaiden 2 Black” has secretly been added to Xbox Game Pass. The “Ninja Gaiden” series has had a strong relationship with the Xbox brand ever since the reboot of the game in 2004 was launched as an exclusive for Xbox consoles. Four years later, “Ninja Gaiden 2” was released exclusively on the Xbox 360, but since then, the franchise has primarily been available across multiple platforms.
Initially released only for the PS3, an upgraded edition of Ninja Gaiden 2 titled Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 eventually hit the shelves. This enhanced version later found its way onto various other platforms such as PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Now, Ninja Gaiden 2 has resurfaced once more, with its latest iteration now playable on Xbox Game Pass starting today.
The sequel to Ninja Gaiden 2, titled “Ninja Gaiden 2 Black,” has been unexpectedly released and boasts a remarkable graphical overhaul thanks to Unreal Engine 5. Known as the “ultimate experience” of Ninja Gaiden 2, this new version incorporates all the additional content ever released for the game, such as extra playable characters and improved combat assistance features. Enthusiasts of Ninja Gaiden on PC and Xbox Series X can already enjoy Ninja Gaiden 2 Black via their Game Pass Ultimate subscription. As of now, it remains undecided whether or not Ninja Gaiden 2 Black will be accessible for PlayStation users as well.
