In the Ninja Gaiden series, the Black Spider Ninja Clan and the Hayabusa Clan have historically been at odds, but recent developments hint towards a possible change in their relationship.
As a thrilled enthusiast, I’m excitedly sharing that Dotemu has unveiled an enticing trailer for the upcoming 2D side-scrolling action game, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound! This tantalizing sneak peek introduced Kumori, a skilled ninja from the enigmatic Black Spider Clan, who will join the ranks alongside Ryu Hayabusa’s prodigious disciple, Kenji.
The teaser showcases how Kumori’s gameplay varies significantly from Kenji’s, emphasizing swiftness and reach instead of the close-combat approach that characterizes Kenji.
Play Kenji And Kumori Together Or Separately
As a dedicated gamer diving into the world of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, I’m eager to unravel a narrative that intertwines the tales of two distinct ninjas – Kenji and Kumori. Each character will have their individual, captivating levels to explore, ensuring an immersive gaming experience for all!
As a thrilled viewer, I can’t help but share my excitement over the trailer revealing an intriguing blend of our protagonists’ essences, happening apparently right from the start of the tale. This fusion grants me, as the player, the powerful privilege of wielding both characters’ abilities simultaneously, empowering me to conquer the formidable monsters barring my path.
In this game, it seems the player will primarily manage Kenji, but they’ll also have the flexibility to interchangeably control both Kenji and Kumori. This way, they can maximize the unique advantages and abilities of each character, such as Kenji’s passive enhancements and Kumori’s Shadow Arts and special attacks.
Mastering these skills is probably crucial given that Ragebound seems set to continue the challenging tradition established by the Ninja Gaiden series.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is currently being created by The Game Kitchen, who are known for developing the exceptional soulslike Metroidvania game, Blasphemous.
It seems that Koei Tecmo is working to uphold both the 3D and 2D styles of the Ninja Gaiden series concurrently. The 2D aspect will be represented by Ragebound, launching in summer 2025, while the 3D segment carries on with Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, currently available, and the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 4, slated for release in fall 2025.
Based on what’s been shared so far, it appears that Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is shaping up to be an excellent addition to the esteemed series, potentially offering more than just a stopgap for fans until Ninja Gaiden 4 arrives. However, we won’t have definitive confirmation until summer.
