This November, Nintendo Switch Online will add four classic games originally released on NES and Game Boy. Among these are a couple of lesser-known and particularly challenging titles.
With a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can play a collection of classic games from older Nintendo systems. There’s a good variety to choose from, including favorites like Donkey Kong and Metroid 2: Return of Samus. While the Expansion Pack gives you Nintendo 64 games like Luigi’s Mansion, the standard Nintendo Switch Online library is also getting new additions. These new games are sure to bring back fond – and maybe a little challenging – memories for many players.
Battletoads, Kid Icarus Coming to Nintendo Switch Online Tomorrow
A new selection of classic games is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online service this November! Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos, Bionic Commando, and Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters will be available to play starting tomorrow, November 26th, for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. You can see the games in action in the video above.
If you grew up playing Nintendo in the 90s, you probably remember how incredibly challenging games like Ninja Gaiden 2 and Battletoads were. Battletoads’ Turbo Tunnel level, in particular, is famous – and infamous – for being brutally difficult. Capcom fans will be excited to see Bionic Commando return, as the last game in that series came out in 2009 and wasn’t well-received. And for those who enjoyed Kid Icarus, this new game follows up on the original, with the last Kid Icarus game released in 2012.
