Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation for February 5, 2026. The showcase will be about 30 minutes long and will highlight games from third-party developers coming to both the Nintendo Switch and the new Switch 2 console.
The February 5 Partner Showcase will be the third Nintendo Direct presentation of 2026. Earlier in January, Nintendo held two Directs close together. The first focused entirely on Super Mario Galaxy Movie, revealing the look of Yoshi created by Illumination and announcing an April 1, 2026 release date in the US. The second Direct was dedicated to Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, offering fans a detailed 20-minute look at the game’s new features.
Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Confirmed for February 5

Nintendo has announced a new Direct presentation will be streamed on February 5th. The announcement confirms months of speculation and leaks suggesting a February showcase. Nintendo Directs have been a regular event for the company since 2012, typically happening each year to share updates on upcoming games.
The next Nintendo Direct is a “Partner Showcase,” so it will primarily highlight games from companies that aren’t Nintendo themselves. This means we probably won’t see much about first-party series like Mario and Zelda. Nintendo says the showcase will be around 30 minutes long and will include announcements for both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
What Will Be Shown During the February 5 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?
Lots of games are already planned for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026! Over the next few months, players can look forward to titles like Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Tides, Reanimal, Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and High on Life 2. Nintendo may highlight these upcoming releases, and we could also see more details about other 2026 games during their Partner Showcase. These include Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, The Duskbloods, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, and the long-awaited Switch 2 version of Hollow Knight: Silksong, complete with the Sea of Sorrow DLC.
The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase is expected to reveal some brand new games, potentially with release dates as far out as 2027 or later. Earlier reports in January 2025 suggested several Xbox games – including Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Starfield, Sea of Thieves, and a new Call of Duty – might come to the Switch 2. Other games like Monster Hunter Wilds, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and Rainbow Six Siege were also speculated to be in development for the console. Nintendo hasn’t officially confirmed any of these games, and the rumors have been quiet lately, but we might see some announcements during the Direct.
Okay, so I’ve been hearing some really exciting rumors about the new Nintendo Switch 2! Apparently, a few games everyone’s been asking for might actually be coming to it. The big one is the Kingdom Hearts trilogy – people are saying we might get a look at it during the Nintendo Direct on February 5th. And it sounds like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Metaphor: ReFantazio could both be hitting the Switch 2 sometime in 2026. You always gotta take rumors with a grain of salt, but thankfully we won’t have to wait too long to see if any of this is true!
