Nintendo Done With Regular Splatoon 3 Updates

As a long-time Splatoon enthusiast who has spent countless hours drenching opponents in colorful ink and splashing my way through various updates, the news of the regular updates ending for Splatoon 3 leaves me feeling somewhat like a squid out of water. Two years seems to have flown by, but the game’s vibrant world and intense multiplayer battles have kept me hooked.

After two splendiferous years of ink-soaked battles, Nintendo’s officially wrapped up the development cycle for Splatoon 3, as they recently shared on their social media platforms, toasting our inky victories!

“After 2 INK-credible years of Splatoon 3, regular updates will come to a close,” Nintendo said.

Although no more new content is being added to the game, Splatoon 2 will continue to celebrate special events such as Splatoween, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest, and Summer Nights. Moreover, necessary adjustments to weapons within the game will still be made.

In summary, for now, Big Run, Extra Work, and Monthly Challenges will all remain part of the game.

The updates for Splatoon 3 are wrapping up at a point when Nintendo is nearly ready to unveil the successor to the Nintendo Switch. Although specifics about the future of the Splatoon series remain undisclosed, it’s reasonable to speculate that Nintendo is currently developing the next version of the franchise for its upcoming console.
