Nintendo, the company known for the Switch, has launched a new app for both iPhones and Android phones called Nintendo Store. As you might guess, the app makes it simpler to browse and shop at Nintendo’s online store. While Nintendo already has apps like Nintendo Music and Nintendo Today, fans have been asking for a dedicated shopping app for a while now.
Nintendo had a very strong financial year in 2025, largely thanks to the successful launch of the Switch 2. They anticipate continued strong sales of their existing consoles heading into 2026. In addition, Nintendo is working to improve its online store, making it simpler for customers to buy games and hardware.
Nintendo Store App Released for iOS and Android
The Nintendo Store app, previously called My Nintendo, is now available on iOS and Android in most regions after being exclusive to Japan for almost five years. The app lets fans easily find and save their favorite Nintendo games, accessories, and consoles to a wish list, and then quickly purchase them from the official online store. It also features a News section with updates on new releases, events, and announcements.

You can browse Nintendo products and save them to a wish list in the app, but to actually buy something, you’ll be directed to Nintendo’s website. The app doesn’t allow you to make purchases directly within it.
The Nintendo Store app’s profile section lets you see what you’ve bought, handle your My Nintendo points, and enter codes. You can also connect your app account to your Switch to track your gameplay. Plus, the app can show you Nintendo events happening nearby, if you allow it to use your location.
The Nintendo Store app on Google Play has a 4.1 out of 5 star rating and has been downloaded over a million times. With the Nintendo Switch app already downloaded over ten million times, this new app is likely to gain even more users quickly. While reviews from iPhone and iPad users aren’t available yet, the app appears to be gaining popularity on Apple devices too.
