Nintendo Subsidiary Reportedly Hit With Layoffs

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen the industry ebb and flow like the tide. The recent news about Nintendo subsidiary, Mario Club Co., Ltd., laying off over 100 employees is a grim reminder that even our beloved game companies are not immune to the harsh realities of business. It’s disheartening to see such a vital part of the quality control and debugging process being affected.

It’s reported that a notable affiliate of Nintendo, Mario Club Co., Ltd., has announced job cuts affecting more than 100 employees within the gaming industry. (Leakpress, a Japanese media outlet, has disclosed this information.)

The report claims that roughly 150 of the 400 employees at the company are being laid off.
