Following the release of the Switch 2, Nintendo has been consistently releasing updates to improve how older Switch games perform on the new console. Recently, a significant upgrade was added, letting players enjoy their original Switch games in docked mode while using the Switch 2’s handheld capabilities. And now, even more games are receiving helpful fixes to ensure a smooth experience.
Kirby and Final Fantasy Among New Switch 2 Compatibility Fixes
Nintendo has updated ten of its Switch games to improve how they work. The updates include popular titles from Nintendo itself, like Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, as well as major games from other companies such as Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age and Doom (2016). Several smaller, independent games also received updates, including A Hat in Time and Limbo.

Popular titles like Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Stardew Valley have all been upgraded for the new console. Nintendo is continuing this trend with more popular games, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder will receive its Switch 2 upgrade on March 26th.
