Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller Upgrades
According to reports on Famiboards (via IGN), recent FCC filings have unveiled potential updates for the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. The filing, identified as ‘BEE-008’, hints at new features such as Bluetooth and NFC capabilities. Intriguingly, these documents seem to indicate that Nintendo might incorporate a headphone jack into their next-generation Pro Controller for the Switch 2. Furthermore, it appears this updated controller may also come equipped with a new battery.
For quite some time now, the community has been asking for a headphone jack on the Pro Controllers. Currently, when the console is docked and you want to listen to audio through wired means, you essentially need to stay near the TV. But with voice chat becoming available on the platform soon, it seems more probable that the Pro Controller will eventually have a headphone jack. We’ll have to tune in to the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct event tomorrow to find out for certain.
