Many fans consider Wario World to be a hidden gem among Nintendo platformers, and it’s now available on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack! Nintendo has been adding classic games to the service, and the surprise release of Wario World – which hasn’t been playable for over 20 years – has excited longtime Nintendo fans.
Nintendo recently revealed that two more classic Nintendo 64 games will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online service in December. Both Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Tonic Trouble will be available starting December 17th. For fans of 3D platformers, Wario World is available to play right now!
Nintendo recently surprised fans by adding Wario World to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. Many consider this game, which is the only fully 3D adventure starring Wario, a hidden treasure within Nintendo’s extensive collection of Super Mario Bros. titles. In Wario World, players control the iconic villain as he attempts to recover his stolen treasure from a mischievous, living jewel. The game features classic 3D platforming through straightforward levels, where Wario collects items and battles enemies. Wario has a wide range of moves, including punches, grabs, throws, and even a comical piledriver attack that’s incredibly satisfying to pull off.

Despite being praised for its fun gameplay, Wario World was often criticized for being short and becoming repetitive. Now, players can enjoy this often-overlooked game as part of a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription, with no extra cost – making it a great way to experience this bite-sized adventure for the first time or revisit a classic.
