After a brief story section on smaller maps following the Heian Era, Nioh 3’s expansive Bakumatsu map opens up for exploration. However, it’s also the most challenging area in the game, filled with tough enemies and difficult boss battles. Before you can fully explore, you’ll need to reach and defeat the nearby Crucible.
Similar to a historical map from the Heian Era, this map helps you find important items, valuable resources, and collectibles within the game. You can also pinpoint locations with Amrita (experience points), Crucible Wraiths, and nigitama. Plus, you can customize what appears on the map by turning different categories on or off, making it easier to focus on what you need.
