No Man’s Sky Player Amazes Fans with Stunning Millennium Falcon Base Build!

Summary

  • One dedicated player recreated the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars in No Man’s Sky.
  • Their design—which isn’t an actual ship but a base—was accomplished in the vanilla version of the game, with no mods of any kind.

A player of No Man’s Sky, showcasing impressive design talent, has successfully built a meticulous replica of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars within the game. Despite the ship not being functional for flight, it has left thousands of No Man’s Sky enthusiasts in awe.

In the sci-fi game No Man’s Sky, base construction became an option with the Foundation Update that rolled out in November 2016, about three and a half months after the game’s launch. Since then, numerous players have dedicated significant amounts of time to crafting intricate bases, drawing inspiration from both innovative and well-known designs.

Following a longstanding tradition, Reddit user Simp-Ify recently constructed a replica reminiscent of the Millennium Falcon, a legendary spaceship from the Star Wars series. Their work has resulted in a spacecraft that bears an immediate resemblance to the vessel flown by Han Solo and Chewbacca across the original trilogy. This similarity is due to features such as its distinctive saucer-shaped hull with unbalanced design, complete with a circular cockpit offset to the starboard side. The user also meticulously recreated the Millennium Falcon’s recognizable forward mandibles and solitary sensor dish positioned opposite the cockpit.

Recreating the Millennium Falcon in No Man’s Sky Requires No Mods

In late May 2025, a structure built by Simp-Ify garnered more than 3,500 upvotes and made it to the front page of r/NoMansSkyTheGame subreddit. This remarkable feat earned it accolades from numerous players. The creator revealed that they crafted this masterpiece entirely within the original game version, using no modifications at all. They also showcased several interior images, indicating that the same care and detail was applied to the base’s internal design as its external appearance.

Although Simp-Ify isn’t the initial creator to build the Millennium Falcon in No Man’s Sky, their construction is among the most accurate versions yet. A significant part of its impression lies in the precise replication of the ship’s rustic appearance, characterized by visible pipes and panels that give off a well-worn, patchwork vibe.

The final creation is so genuine that it fooled certain players into believing it was a real ship instead of a base. However, the designer cleverly integrated their ship concept into the design by placing a landing pad right at the center of the saucer-shaped body. Interestingly, they chose the Boundary Herald, which bears some resemblance to the Millennium Falcon, for their ship model. The Boundary Herald was introduced in No Man’s Sky during The Cursed update, version 5.20, released in October 2024.
