No Man’s Sky Releases Massive Remnant Update

The latest update for No Man’s Sky, called Remnant, adds a lot of new things for players to do. You can now use a gravity gun and even customize your Colossus truck to haul scrap and resources. It’s amazing how much the game has evolved over the past nine years, and the developers at Hello Games are still consistently adding new content to keep things exciting.

No Man’s Sky is famous for its rocky start. The game faced huge disappointment because the reality didn’t match the ambitious promises and expectations set before its release. Though it ran smoothly, players were let down by missing features in its procedurally generated universe. However, the developers at Hello Games didn’t abandon the project. Over the last decade, they’ve consistently released a remarkable number of free updates, adding new content and features that have completely revitalized the game and kept players engaged.

No Man’s Sky Remnant Update Features

The newest free update for No Man’s Sky, called Remnant, gives players incredible control over gravity and physics. It adds a device called the Gravitino Coil to your multi-tool, letting you pick up, move, and throw large objects around the game world. You can even use it to efficiently gather resources and potentially discover rare items. The Gravitino isn’t just for objects – it can also grab and manipulate smaller enemies like sentinel drones.

Players can now heavily customize their Colossus trucks with new parts like different cabins, chassis upgrades, paint jobs, and wheel options. These trucks can tackle any planet’s surface thanks to features like treads, special wheels, off-road gear, front attachments, and even spider-like legs. A new flatbed attachment lets you use your Colossus as a mobile hauler, but be careful – it makes the vehicle more prone to tipping on steep or uneven ground. You can also add a furnace to quickly dispose of waste while traveling.

With the Colossus and Gravitino Coil, players can act as their own cleanup crews, collecting resources from wreckage and industrial waste. They can then bring these materials to industrial yards or the new Waste Processing Plants to turn them into valuable resources and earn rewards for eliminating the waste. While exploring, players may also encounter Volatile Waste – unstable materials that are toxic, radioactive, or explosive – requiring careful handling and transport to a specialized processing plant.

I’m so excited about the new expedition! It’s a community event where we all work together to clean up a planet absolutely covered in shipwrecks and salvage. This update has some cool new features that’ll help us out, whether we’re hauling junk or working at the scrapyard to process it. Plus, there’s a brand new armor set called the Heirloom set that we can earn just by taking part – awesome!

I’m really excited that Hello Games is working on a new game, Light No Fire, but it’s awesome to see they’re still updating No Man’s Sky too! It’s going to be interesting to see how they manage working on both titles, but as a fan, I know I’ll have plenty to keep me busy either way. It’s a great position for them – and for us!
