  • The patch fixes numerous bugs related to the recent release of the Worlds Part 2 update.

In a recent development, Hello Games has rolled out an update for the game “No Man’s Sky”, which brings numerous bug fixes post the Worlds Part 2 update launch. As we get closer to its 9th anniversary in 2025, the creators have been consistently improving “No Man’s Sky”. Originally criticized upon release, it has since evolved into a cherished and honored title within gaming history.

2025 saw the debut of the No Man’s Sky Worlds Part 2 update in late January, offering players an opportunity to explore even more varied worlds, numerous user-friendly enhancements, a significantly upgraded lighting system, and much more. The game bears little resemblance to its 2016 launch, as Sean Murray and the Hello Games team have been dedicated to refining the action-adventure survival game to meet player expectations. Notably, No Man’s Sky’s Steam reviews achieved the “Very Positive” rating, a significant milestone eight years after its initial release. The team is persistently refining the gameplay mechanics and world, with a recent patch addressing concerns that emerged following the release of update 5.5.

On February 12th, Hello Games released updates for No Man’s Sky: version 5.055 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and version 5.55 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the game’s official site, this patch primarily focuses on fixing bugs that appeared after the No Man’s Sky Worlds Part 2 update. These bugs include a frequent crash related to memory management and an issue affecting biodomes during collisions. Furthermore, when accessing the teleporter page, players will now find the closest destination for their selected mission at the top of the list, making exploration more efficient. Additionally, several water rendering problems have been resolved.

After the unveiling of the PlayStation 5 Pro towards the end of 2024, it was disclosed that “No Man’s Sky” would offer an 8K mode exclusively on Sony’s latest console, one of only three games to do so. Gamers will have the option to traverse the cosmos in a stunning 7680 x 4320 resolution at 30 frames per second or choose a 4K mode operating at 60 FPS, both versions benefiting from enhanced graphics thanks to the PS5 Pro’s advanced hardware. Martin Griffiths, developer of Hello Games, praised the console upon its release, expressing that working on a new development kit and witnessing his work come to life in a fresh manner was an absolute joy.

Although Hello Games continues to focus on “No Man’s Sky,” they have a fresh project coming up. In December 2024, Ghost Town Games revealed their upcoming cooperative game titled “Stage Fright“. It is expected that Hello Games will publish this game at some point in the future. This developer gained prominence through its popular “Overcooked” series.
