Created by Torn Banner Studios, “No More Room in Hell 2” places you as emergency responders fighting for survival amidst the chaos of a possible real-world zombie outbreak, rather than dealing with the post-apocalyptic remnants.

At a recent sneak peek gathering hosted by Game Rant, director Leif Walter of No More Room in Hell 2 characterized the game as exceptionally tough. He offered insights into various tactics players can employ to endure its authentic zombie catastrophe scenario. Interestingly, while No More Room in Hell 2 offers an action-packed horror adventure, Walter emphasized that evading zombies could provide the best gaming experience.

No More Room in Hell 2 Is Designed To Be “Extremely Challenging

In our preview of “No More Room in Hell 2,” Walter discussed survival tactics that could increase players’ chances of surviving due to the game being designed as extremely tough. For example, Walter mentioned that players start off weak and isolated, only equipped with a torch and an iron pipe to navigate their environment. He also advised players to be mindful about what they gather as they prepare themselves. Instead of hoarding everything they find, Walter suggested players should focus on collecting Supply Items because they don’t consume inventory space. Unlike many open-world zombie games where players have a plethora of weapons from the start, the management of resources appears to add another layer of difficulty in “No More Room in Hell 2.” Additionally, Walter disclosed that there are multiple difficulty levels in the Power Plant map based on the average level of Responders present. This suggests that different difficulties could significantly alter the gameplay experience.

Walter underlined the significance of safety in numbers and suggested that players should join forces with others at their earliest convenience, alongside completing primary tasks. The game supports up to eight-player cooperation and offers useful items such as a compass, but it’s challenging to locate other players because they are scattered across its expansive map. Although teaming up isn’t mandatory, the game essentially rewards players by prolonging the survival of more squad members in No More Room in Hell 2, which incorporates a permadeath system and “cooperation with repercussions.

Walter suggested using the environment strategically, such as seeking out safer zones like high ground, shutting doors, creating barriers, and employing traps like gas canisters. Walter also warned players to be wary of blood-eyed zombies, as they are particularly challenging to defeat.

Walter added that there’s a good chance players will forfeit their role as Responders and have to start over if they perish in No More Room in Hell 2. Given that the game features permanent death, it definitely makes encounters with zombies something to steer clear of.
