I’m so excited! Phasmophobia is getting a brand new map called Nell’s Diner on November 11th. It’s going to be their 14th map overall, which is amazing!
Kinetic Games, the creators of *Phasmophobia*, first showed off Nell’s Diner in early August 2025. The map is built like an old, forgotten retro diner and is relatively small. The studio, based in Britain, initially hoped to release it by the end of 2025, but didn’t give a specific date.
Phasmophobia’s Nell’s Diner Gets Release Date and New Trailer
After a wait of two and a half months, Kinetic has announced that Nell’s Diner will be released on November 11th, as shown in a new trailer. Like all previous updates for *Phasmophobia*, this new content will be completely free. The update will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC all on the same day.
Nell’s Diner is roughly the same size as smaller maps in *Phasmophobia*, like 10 Ridgeview Court, 6 Tanglewood Drive, and 42 Edgefield Road. This makes it easy to play, as smaller maps generally result in quicker ghost hunts. Many players find that while larger maps like Prison and Asylum have a good atmosphere, their size can be frustrating. The increased area to search often leads to players running out of Sanity before they can fully investigate.

Nell’s Diner is designed to avoid common problems found in larger maps because it’s relatively small, consisting of just a dining area, storage room, and kitchen. According to Daniel Knight, Director at Kinetic Games, the team always thought a spooky diner would be a great setting for *Phasmophobia*. He explained that, like the updated farmhouse map, Nell’s represents their vision for future map design. The goal is to create unique locations with detailed designs that tell a story to players, going beyond simply hunting a ghost.
Nell’s map is a model for how we envision future Phasmophobia maps. We want each map to be distinct and carefully crafted to offer a deeper, more immersive experience – one that goes beyond simply finding the ghost.
Nell’s Diner is one of the few remaining features planned for *Phasmophobia* that hasn’t been added to the game yet. After its release on November 11th, the development team, Kinetic, will concentrate on completing the yearly holiday event. We might get a sneak peek at the 2026 plans around Christmas, but a full reveal likely won’t happen until late January or February. While there’s no confirmed release date for the full version of *Phasmophobia* (1.0), it’s expected to leave early access soon, potentially before September 2026, which would be its sixth anniversary. Kinetic has indicated that the game will continue to receive updates even after the 1.0 release, though these updates might be less frequent and smaller in scope.
