The popular Pokemon TCG Pocket game is bringing back Deluxe Packs, making it easier for players to complete their EX card collections. The Pokemon Trading Card Game has been a beloved part of the franchise for decades, bringing joy to players and fostering a vibrant community of collectors and traders. Naturally, a mobile version for iOS and Android was created, launching worldwide on October 30, 2024. Pokemon TCG Pocket quickly became popular, recreating the fun of the original card game for a new audience. However, players found it challenging to collect all the EX cards.
EX cards are generally the most powerful in the game, with high attack and HP, so when Pokemon TCG Pocket announced its Deluxe Packs, many fans were excited. These packs guaranteed a rare card – or better – and often included multiple EX cards, though they contained only four cards instead of the usual five. Players loved them because of the high-quality cards they received and the ability to easily collect promo cards to complete their EX collections. Now, these popular, limited-edition Deluxe Packs are available once again.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Deluxe Pack Promo Period
- January 15, 2026 – January 29, 2026
The popular ‘Pokemon TCG Pocket’ packs are back for two weeks, and they offer better odds of finding rare EX cards. Before you start opening them every day, here’s what you need to know about the Deluxe Packs in ‘Pokemon TCG’. Cards you get from these packs won’t appear in your regular Promo Dex; instead, they’ll go to a separate Deluxe Promo Dex. Also, some of the cards in these packs have different artwork or special foil versions compared to the original releases. Don’t worry, a future update planned for around Summer 2026 will fix this by adding cards from the Deluxe Packs to the correct, historical Dex.
The Pokemon TCG Pocket app is doing well right now, especially with popular cards like Charizard appearing in the new Crimson Blaze set. The Mega Rising event is also exciting fans with cards like Mega Blaziken EX for dedicated collectors. If you miss out on limited-time cards, you can still find booster packs in the app’s pack opening section. While the game had a slow start, it now has around 100,000 active players, boosted by events like the Deluxe Packs. It’s a great time to jump in and try out any powerful cards you collect!
Whether the popular Deluxe Pack event will come back after ending on January 29th is uncertain, but it probably will eventually due to how many players it attracts. With Pokemon TCG Pocket recently surpassing Pokemon GO in revenue, The Pokemon Company seems focused on keeping players engaged, and bringing back desirable cards is a great way to do that. While the future of Pokemon TCG Pocket isn’t known, now is a particularly good time to collect rare cards that players might have missed before.
