NYT Connections launched in June 2023 as the newest addition to the New York Times’ collection of games. It quickly became popular, and for good reason! This free game is easy to access for anyone around the world, whether they’re using a computer or the mobile app.
I love playing NYT Connections – it’s the perfect way to pass the time when I’m on my commute or just waiting for my coffee! It really helps those few minutes fly by.
But how do you play NYT Connections?
It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.
Each day, the New York Times Connections game gives you a set of 16 words. Your goal is to divide them into four groups of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and because some words can have multiple meanings, it can sometimes be challenging to solve.
Just a heads-up, the words in this game are color-coded – you’ll see yellow, blue, green, and purple. And that color actually tells you how tough they are! Yellow words are the easiest, and purple ones are the hardest, so it goes from easy to super challenging as you go through the colors.
It’s important to remember you only get four tries each day with NYT Connections. Use them all, and you won’t be able to play anymore – that’s it for today!
