It’s already midweek, and even if you’ve had a tough week so far, there’s still one more day to get through! Today’s NYT Connections puzzle is particularly challenging, but don’t worry – I’m here to help. I’ve put together some hints below to help you solve it quickly and successfully.
Read on to get the NYT Connections solutions you need for today.
What is NYT Connections?
Before I share today’s hints for NYT Connections, I want to quickly give you some background information.
NYT Connections launched in June 2023 as the newest addition to the New York Times’ collection of games. It quickly became popular, and for good reason. Being a free and easy-to-access New York Times game, it’s available to players around the world on both computers and mobile devices.
I love playing NYT Connections! It’s perfect for those little pockets of downtime, like when I’m on my commute or waiting for my coffee to brew. It’s a really fun way to pass the time.
But how do you play NYT Connections?

It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.
Each day, the New York Times will give you 16 words arranged in a grid. Your job is to sort these words into four groups of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and because some words can have multiple meanings, it can sometimes be challenging to solve.
The words are also color-coded to show how challenging they are: yellow is the easiest, followed by blue, then green, and finally purple, which is the most difficult.
Okay, so here’s the deal with NYT Connections: you only get four tries each day. Use them all up, and that’s it – you’ve lost for today! It’s really important to be careful with those guesses, because once they’re gone, you can’t play anymore.
