NYT Connections Hints Today (#885)—Clues and Answers for Wednesday, November 12

It’s Wednesday, and we’re ready to help you solve today’s NYT Connections puzzle! I’ve included some hints and solutions below to help you succeed. How’s your week been? Feel free to share in the comments what other puzzle games you’re playing, or what hints you’d like to see in the future!

Looking for the answers to today’s NYT Connections puzzle? It’s a bit unusual – all the words are only four letters long! You’ll find the solutions below.

What is NYT Connections?

I should probably give you some background information before diving into today’s NYT Connections hints and clues.

I was so excited when the New York Times released NYT Connections back in June 2023! It quickly became super popular, and honestly, it’s not hard to figure out why. It’s a free game from the New York Times, which is awesome, and anyone around the world can play it – whether you’re on your computer or using the app on your phone.

NYT Connections is a great way to pass the time, whether you’re commuting or waiting for your coffee.

But how do you play NYT Connections?

It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.

Each day, the New York Times will give you 16 words arranged in a grid. Your job is to organize those words into four groups of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and because some words can have multiple meanings, it can be challenging to solve.

The words are also color-coded to show how challenging they are: yellow is the easiest, followed by blue, green, and then purple, which is the most difficult.

The important thing to remember is you only get four attempts each day. Use them all up, and you won’t be able to solve today’s NYT Connections puzzle – that’s when the game ends.
