It’s almost the weekend, but there are still a few more NYT Connections puzzles to crack! Today’s puzzle is a bit tricky – the connections aren’t immediately obvious, but I’m here to help with some helpful hints.
Read on to get the NYT Connections solutions that I know you’re here for.
What is NYT Connections?
Before I share today’s hints for the NYT Connections game, I want to quickly give you some background information.
NYT Connections launched in June 2023 as the newest game from the New York Times, and it quickly became popular. The game is free to play and easy to access, available to anyone around the world on computers or through the mobile app.
NYT Connections is a great way to pass the time, whether you’re commuting or waiting for your coffee.
But how do you play NYT Connections?

It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.
Each day, the New York Times will give you 16 words arranged in a grid. Your job is to group them into four sets of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and because some words can have multiple meanings, it can be challenging to solve.
The words are also color-coded – yellow, blue, green, and purple – to show how challenging they are. They go from easiest (yellow) to hardest (purple).
It’s important to remember you only get four tries each day with NYT Connections. Use them all, and you won’t be able to play anymore – that’s game over!
