It’s midweek, and hopefully you’re still on a winning streak with NYT Connections! I know the holidays are coming up and you’re busy, but solving today’s puzzle is worth your time. Here are the hints and solutions you need to crack it!
If you’re stumped, read on, as I’ve got the instant NYT Connections solutions for you.
What is NYT Connections?
Before I share today’s hints for NYT Connections, I want to quickly give some background information.
NYT Connections launched in June 2023 as the newest game from the New York Times, and it quickly became popular. It’s easy to understand why – the game is free to play, easy to access, and available globally on computers and mobile devices.
NYT Connections is a great way to pass the time, like when you’re commuting or waiting for your coffee.
But how do you play NYT Connections?

It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.
Each day, the New York Times will give you 16 words arranged in a grid. Your job is to divide those words into four groups of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and because some words can have multiple meanings, it can sometimes be challenging to solve.
The words are also color-coded to show how challenging they are: yellow is the easiest, followed by blue, then green, and finally purple, which is the most difficult.
It’s important to remember you only get four tries each day. Use them all, and you won’t be able to solve today’s NYT Connections puzzle – the game will be over.
