December is flying by, and the holiday season will be here before we know it! Are you getting ready for the celebrations? If so, why not start your day with the New York Times Connections puzzle? I’ve got hints and solutions to help you out.
Read on to dominate today’s NYT Connections challenge! The latest hints are just below.
What is NYT Connections?
Before I share today’s hints for NYT Connections, I want to quickly give some background information.
NYT Connections launched in June 2023 as the newest addition to the New York Times’ collection of games. It quickly became popular, and for good reason. This free game is easy to access on the New York Times website or mobile app, and players around the world can enjoy it on any device.
NYT Connections is a great way to pass the time, like when you’re commuting or waiting for your coffee.
But how do you play NYT Connections?

It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.
Each day, the New York Times will give you 16 words arranged in a grid. Your job is to group them into four sets of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and because some words can have multiple meanings, it can sometimes be challenging to solve.
The words are also color-coded to show how challenging they are: yellow is the easiest, followed by blue, then green, and finally purple, which is the most difficult.
The important thing to remember is you only get four tries each day. Use them all up, and you won’t be able to solve today’s NYT Connections puzzle – it’ll be game over.
