According to a reliable source, there’s buzz that the long-awaited remake of Oblivion might unexpectedly surface the day after tomorrow. Lately, it’s been whispered that the Oblivion remake could hit the shelves ahead of schedule, and some even speculate that the unveiling will occur in April.
Instead, it seems this latest announcement implies they might abandon the game without notice. I guess it’s time to get the salt shaker ready.
In Our Dreams
Despite numerous whispers about the Oblivion remake, there’s been no concrete news on the project so far. As rumored, it’s being developed at Virtuous Games and is expected to be a complete overhaul of the 2006 game using Unreal Engine 5. There are hints that improvements have been made not only to the engine but also to the gameplay mechanics and combat systems.
It seems promising, yet we’re entirely in the dark regarding its details. We have no clue where it’ll be made available, what its price tag might be, or even what its visual appearance will be.
On March 13th, Nate The Hate shared on social media his anticipation of ‘updates’ about the Oblivion remake to emerge in April. He suggested that the launch date for the game might come sooner than the initial goal of June.
April is earlier than June, right?
Now, Detective Seeds has posted on Twitter with an all-new claim:

@DetectiveSeeds
Next week, we expect the Oblivion remake to come out, probably on Thursday, April 3rd. After that, Indiana Jones will be available on the PS5 on the 16th, and then Forza Horizon 5 is set to arrive on the PS5 on the 29th, both being 13 days apart from each other.

He elaborated further in the comments, subtly shifting blame for the rumor towards an unnamed party, stating his explanation as follows:
There’s a bit of uncertainty about whether it will happen this week or the next, but they’re quite sure it’s on its way.
As a fan, I must admit that we’re still not any nearer to uncovering the truth about the upcoming release. It could be tomorrow, next week, or even June – the mystery remains unsolved for now. However, if there’s one thing that would certainly brighten up my day, it’s the unexpected arrival of a UE5 Elder Scrolls game, be it a remake or a new installment. It would be more than welcome!
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but wonder if those whispers about an Oblivion remake are true. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to share them here or over at TopMob forum.
