Oblivion Remastered player pours 15,000 points into Athletics and Acrobatics, letting them leap across the entire map in a single bound

In a simpler and more conversational style, Oblivion still seems to have the same issues as the original game. A player demonstrated this recently by increasing their acrobatics and athletics skills beyond 15,000 points, effectively allowing them to “fly” around Cyrodiil.

In a Reddit-posted video, an account named Slow-Environment-637, humorously titled given their speed, exhibits Flash-like agility. Beginning from a green slope some hills distant from the Imperial City, they execute a long jump and alight on the side of the White-Gold Tower. A leap thereafter propels them skyward, enabling them to touch the tower’s summit.

They don’t clearly detail their method for this maneuver, but it seems quite complex. Initially, they conjure something which they then use to cast a spell that mirrors all subsequent spells with a debuff on the target back to the caster. Afterward, there follows an intricate sequence of casting multiple spells that inflict 100% magicka weakness on touch and reflect these back onto the summoner. Additionally, they use a spell that fortifies their attribute on touch, but it also weakens their magicka slightly, causing it to be reflected back towards them.

From there, it becomes a continuous loop of boosting any attribute to your desired level by repetition. However, they caution that excessively high athletic skills cause characters to move swiftly across the map in an undesirable manner, and they had to reduce the athletics skill from an extremely high level (approximately 1 million) down to its current value.

Bethesda and Virtuos retained many of the original game’s quirks, such as the occasional, albeit now predictable, crashes and the unsettling character customization options.
