How To Complete The Last Cask in Octopath Traveler 0

Once you finish Chapter 1 of the Master of Wealth story in Octopath Traveler 0, a new side quest will become available in Valore. You’ll find a Merchant on the Main Boulevard who explains he’s having trouble selling his last supply of Valore Vintage Liquor.

So, everyone just automatically agrees to help him, which is great! Now it turns out all we need to do is find someone to buy the liquor. The tricky part is… where do we even look for a buyer?

To get to Teathropolis, where you can complete the Master of Fame quest, you’ll need to head to the Flatlands Region. Start by taking the road from Valore and following the Valore Trail. Then, turn east in the direction of the West Emberglow Wilds. Continue east, then travel to the North Teathropolis Plains before heading south to reach Teathropolis Plains.

If you’re struggling with enemies, consider rearranging your team’s formation. You can do this through the party menu by swapping characters between the Front Row (Vanguards) and Back Row (Rearguards). This lets your front-line fighters attack while those in the back recover and provide support skills to help your active team. Don’t forget: you can quickly switch between front and back row characters during a character’s turn by pressing the ZR button.

Head into Teathropilis and find the Tavern. It’s easy to recognize because of the Beer Mug symbol beside the entrance. Once inside, go to the upper right corner to speak with the NPC wearing red – you can ‘Inquire’ with them.

Press the Path Action Key (Y on Nintendo Switch) and choose ‘Inquire’. You’ll see something about a special Liquor from Valore in the NPC’s description. To continue with ‘The Last Cask’ quest, scroll to the very bottom of the Path Action Menu and select ‘Hire’.

After you’ve successfully persuaded the Noble Liquor Connoisseur to help you, return to Valore. Speak with the merchant one last time to finish the quest and collect your reward of 3500 Leafs.
