As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been keeping an eye on the ongoing conversations between the Dune: Awakening team and our gaming community. Lately, they’ve been sharing some insights from these interactions over on Steam. For instance, there was this curious Dune fan who inquired about the upcoming plans for our new MMO.

Funcom emphasized that they value maintaining transparency about the game’s current status and future developments. They assured that they will share information regarding upcoming updates once they are ready for release. Although they already have a list of intended content, they plan to gather input from the community at launch too. In addition to their pre-planned content, they aim to incorporate community suggestions and feedback into those updates as well.
IGN’s Travis Northup played Dune: Awakening during its closed-beta testing. Despite some issues, after spending around 20 hours on the game, he believes that Funcom is laying a strong foundation for an exceptional survival MMO. He emphasizes that this game, set in one of the most remarkable science fiction worlds ever created, has immense potential – as long as it manages to eliminate all its bugs, not just the sandworm-related ones.
