Mega Evolution has significantly changed the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta since it was introduced last year, and the upcoming Fantastical Parade expansion will likely continue that trend. The Pokémon TCG’s new expansion, Fantastical Parade, will be released at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on January 28th. This is a bit different than usual, as new sets typically launch with the start of the in-game day. A chart is available to help you find the release time in your specific time zone. Players outside of North America will get the expansion on January 29th, approximately five hours earlier than the standard release time.
To save your pack stamina, try not to open any packs for 24 hours before new ones are released.
What New Cards Are in Fantastical Parade?
The new trailer for the Fantastical Parade expansion revealed a lot of exciting cards, including two new Mega Evolutions. Mega Gardevoir stands out as a particularly strong card, similar to Genetic Apex Gardevoir, and could be a great support for powerful Psychic-type Pokémon like Mewtwo ex. New Stadium cards, like Peculiar Plaza, make Mega Gardevoir ex even more useful, especially for players who already have a good collection of Psychic-type cards.
