Following the letdown of the Deluxe Pack ex, Pokemon TCG Pocket players are eagerly anticipating new cards. Luckily, they won’t have to wait long – the Mega Rising expansion is coming out on October 29th.
I’m so excited for the new Pokemon TCG Pocket set, Mega Rising! Like with other sets, it’s launching globally, but the exact time it hits shelves will be different depending on where you are. Good news though – the official Pokemon Company just released the release times for all the major time zones, so we all know when we can finally start cracking packs!

The official Pokemon website announced that the Mega Rising expansion will launch at 11:00 p.m. PDT on October 29th. This means most Pokemon TCG Pocket players won’t be able to start playing with the new cards until October 30th.
What New Cards Are in the Mega Rising Expansion?
Okay, so I just watched the trailer for the new Mega Rising expansion, and there’s a TON of new cards coming! But honestly, everyone’s going to be talking about Mega Evolutions. They’ve confirmed Gyarados, Blaziken, Altaria, Pinsir, Absol, and Ampharos are all getting the Mega ex treatment, which is super exciting!
The new set will include special Art Rare cards featuring Growlithe, Pancham, and Goomy, as well as new Supporter cards for May, Marlon, and Lisia. It also introduces exciting item cards that let you recover energy from the discard pile to power up your active Pokémon. Overall, this looks like it will be one of the largest expansions for the Pokémon TCG Pocket yet.
