Want to find all eight Riddler Puzzles in Old Gotham North in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight? Be aware that some puzzles need specific characters to unlock and solve.

Okay, so this guide is all about solving the Riddler puzzles in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Once you activate a district tower, the Riddler puzzle locations pop up on the map. I’m going to walk you through every single one in Old Gotham North. For each puzzle, I’ll give you the exact coordinates, tell you which character or special ability you need, and then explain how to solve it. Let’s get started!

All Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzles Overview

Old Gotham North hides eight Riddler Puzzles for you to find. You’ll discover most of them while exploring the city, but one is locked inside a special Puzzle Room that unlocks after you’ve solved five others. To find the puzzles’ locations, open the map and move your cursor around – the coordinates will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

What You Need Before Solving Every Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzle

You won’t be able to solve all the Riddler puzzles in Old Gotham North right away. Some of them need characters you unlock later in the game, like Catwoman, Nightwing, and Robin. While you’ll use Batman and Jim Gordon’s main gadgets, you should have those already if you’re focusing on completing Old Gotham North.

The final puzzle, “Our Riddle Secret,” is unique. You’ll find it in a special Puzzle Room located at coordinates 407, 448, but it only opens after you’ve finished five other Puzzle Rooms first. If you can’t get to it right away, just keep solving puzzles from the Riddler and Cluemaster around Gotham City, and more Puzzle Rooms will unlock.

All Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzle Solutions

Arch de Triomphe Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 425, 471
Required Character: Nightwing

Place Nightwing’s staff into the slot to the left of the cube, then slide it to unlock the gate. After going through the gate, destroy the containers and use the parts you find to build a button near the cube.

Okay, so here’s what I figured out: I need to put Batman on the activation switch – the ‘button’, basically – and then position Nightwing right in front of that cube gate. Then, using Nightwing’s electrified Batarang, I hit the electrical box on the other side of the gate. That should open things up and let me get to the cube!

Okay, so this part is way easier with a friend! One of us can control Batman and just hold the position on the switch, while the other switches to Nightwing and quickly takes care of that electric box. It’s a perfect team-up move!

Holed Up Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 368, 464
Required Character: Catwoman

The cube is hidden in a small space within the wall. To power it, follow the cable leading from the wall to its power source. Use Catwoman to climb the wall beside the cube, flip the switch at the top, and then use her whip to remove the screw inside the power supply. After that, drop down and back into the small space where the cube is located.

Can’t Park There, Mate Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 375, 448
Required Character: Catwoman

Use Catwoman’s cat call to send her feline friend through the vent to the left of the van that’s in the way of the cube. Once inside, collect the key from that room and return it to Catwoman.

First, smash the red toolbox beside the van and use the parts inside to build a hitch and attach it to the front of the van. Get into the Batmobile, connect the tow cable to the hitch, and pull the van forward. Once it’s moved, you can use the key to open the gate and reach the cube.

Missed Connections Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 362, 433
Required Character: Nightwing

To complete this puzzle, use Nightwing’s Cable Launcher to link a generator to a symbol-covered device. This will make one of the symbols spin. Disconnect the generator precisely when the spinning symbol matches the one displayed on the device.

Sometimes it can be tricky to disconnect the generator. The way to detach the cables from the Cable Launcher isn’t always reliable. A good trick is to hit the connected cable with a Batarang – that usually does the trick. If not, try running a new cable from the generator’s connection point to a different symbol; this should remove the original cable.

The Ladder of Success Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 392, 404
Required Character: Batman / Jim Gordon

First, use the Batclaw to find gears hidden near the switch and grab the key. Then, activate the switch to bring down the cage containing the cube. Finally, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the gears to keep the cage from moving.

Now, move to the platform right beside the lowered cage. Push the platform to the right, aligning it with the cage, and then use your key to unlock it.

Strike a Balance Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 347, 368
Required Character: Robin

Head to the rooftop of the building opposite the cube. Look for a column covered in question marks. Then, use Robin’s Cable Launcher to create a zip line connecting that column to the building immediately to the right of the cube.

Get into the center of the line and use Robin’s Batarang to hit the switches on the building. Throw it to activate the left switch first, then the right, and finally the middle one.

Power Climb Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 332, 354
Required Character: Any character with a Batarang-style ranged attack

To solve this, go to the roof of the building located behind the large cube. You’ll see a power line connected to several targets. First, use a Batarang to activate the switch at the bottom of the targets. This will send power through the line. Then, hit all the targets with your Batarang to route the power to the top of the building.

Our Riddle Secret Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: Puzzle Room at 407, 448
Required Character: Batman

You’ll find this puzzle in a Puzzle Room located at coordinates 407, 448. If the room is locked, keep solving Riddler and Cluemaster puzzles to unlock more rooms. Once you’ve opened five Puzzle Rooms, come back to this one in Old Gotham North.

Once you’re inside, take these actions to solve the puzzle:

Grab the boombox from the counter on the side of the room opposite the mirror. Place it on the end of the table closest to the mirror.
Use a Batarang to destroy the hanging object just in front of the entrance to the room with the mirror. Use the components to complete the shelf in the corner, pull it over with Batclaw, and grab the lamp. Put it on the side table in the room with the mirror, just left after you enter it.
Collect the bust with the hat from the cubicle across from the entrance to the room with the mirror. Put it on the podium next to the TVs in the mirror room to solve the puzzle and gain access to the cube.

Do Towers Reveal Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzles?

Turning on the Old Gotham North Tower will show you where to find collectibles and activities in that area, like Riddler Puzzles. But simply spotting a puzzle is only the first step – you’ll still need to figure out how to solve it!

You’ll only see the icon for the ‘Our Riddle Secret’ Puzzle Room after you’ve finished five other Puzzle Rooms. If you only find seven Riddler Puzzles in Old Gotham North, try solving more Riddler and Cluemaster puzzles throughout Gotham City. Once you’ve completed the unlocked Puzzle Rooms, go back to the location at 407, 448.

To get the “A Watchful Collector” achievement and fully complete the game, you must solve all eight Riddler puzzles in Old Gotham North.
