Information leaked earlier regarding the upcoming strategy battle game, “Pokemon Champions,” which features the most renowned collection of collectible monsters globally, has gained additional credibility following recent disclosures at the July 2025 Pokemon Presents event. Although much remains undisclosed about “Pokemon Champions,” the whispers among fans are growing more convincing after the showcase.
The upcoming game titled Pokemon Champions was unveiled in February, offering a side-series spin-off centered around the franchise’s iconic turn-based monster battles. At that time, not many details about the game were disclosed, with the debut trailer primarily showcasing the history of two-player Pokemon combat, ranging from the traditional link cable fights on Game Boy in the late ’90s to contemporary multiplayer gaming experiences on Nintendo Switch and smartphones.
Leading up to the July Pokemon Presents event, two detailed posts made confident predictions about the new features of Pokemon Champions that were initially considered speculative by many. Written in May and June, these posts have gained attention on Reddit after some of their predictions were validated with the release of the game’s latest trailer this week. The posts collectively suggested that players can use earned points to increase the level of their Pokemon, and that each Pokemon’s Effort Values (EVs) can be adjusted at any time. This appears to be true based on the July 22 trailer, as it showed a player using sliders to decrease a Pokemon’s maximum HP in order to enhance its speed.
Pokemon Champions Leaks
Following the confirmation of those rumors, particularly about the Pokemon Home cloud service compatibility, fans might approach the other claims with less guesswork. Among these claims are a possible launch date of January 23, 2026, and a report stating that the game will accommodate approximately 350 unique Pokemon at its debut. It has been confirmed that ranked and private battles will be included, but the initial post hints at additional features such as a Battle Frontier-like mode where players face progressively harder challenges to earn exclusive items not found in the in-game shop. The rumors further imply that the game will keep players on their toes with computer-controlled opponents and gym leaders who frequently change.
As a passionate fan, I was intrigued by the latest scoop suggesting an innovative twist for the single-player mode in the upcoming Pokemon Champions game. It’s said that this mode will offer two distinct storylines, where completing one path is necessary before moving on to the other. Furthermore, the information hints at the intriguing detail that certain Pokemon natures and held items will be hidden behind a progression barrier, meaning they won’t be accessible right away for players.
Additionally, this speculation adds fuel to the fire by implying that there might be more battle formats than just single and double battles, as hinted in the recent trailer. It seems we could expect triple, rotation, inverse battles, and raids, expanding our gameplay experience.
