As a veteran gamer with over three decades under my belt, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed by the latest updates and offerings from Starry Studios’ post-apocalyptic survival game, Once Human. The game has managed to maintain a steady player base despite the industry’s relentless churn, which is no small feat in today’s fast-paced gaming landscape.
Players of Starry Studios’ post-apocalyptic survival game “Once Human” now have fresh weekly incentives to collect. Launched in July 2024, this open-world multiplayer shooter has managed to maintain a substantial player base and a Mostly Positive rating on Steam, even though its numbers have been gradually decreasing.
Due to the game’s popularity, its creator is now branching out to other devices, and it’s anticipated that a mobile adaptation of “Once Human” will be released around April 2025. If you don’t want to miss this launch, consider pre-registering so it will automatically install once it’s available. For those who can’t wait, Starry Studios is actively maintaining the Steam version of “Once Human”, providing frequent updates and free gifts in the interim.
Starting from the week that begins on December 23, players participating in Once Human can obtain a complimentary bundle consisting of 500 Starchrom, Metallic-Scaled Gauntlets, and two Butterfly’s Emissary Crates. To collect these items, participants must be registered for a scenario. However, the free Starchrom being offered through Once Human’s latest Starchrom system, Stellar Stairway, is accessible to players who haven’t yet chosen a new scenario. From December 23 to December 31, logging in will grant you 36,000 free Starchrom and an extra 3,000 daily for seven consecutive days as a login bonus.
Once Human Version 1.3.4 Released on Christmas Day
On Christmas Day, Starry Studios unveiled Version 1.3.4 of their game, addressing several bugs that players had been experiencing, such as an issue impacting the Wish Machine’s blueprint fragments in the game “Once Human”. In response to fan requests, this update also included a new feature allowing lost animals to be returned to the Backpack. Additionally, minor glitches with the plumbing within player bases, like visible pipes and wires, were also corrected.
On December 20, the initial Downloadable Content (DLC) from Once Human, the Double Agent Theme Pack, became available for purchase on Steam at a price of $24.99. This package includes the Twilight Agent costume, a recipe to create an old-fashioned chandelier, a decal, and a specific pose. Since its release, there’s been considerable discussion among fans about the high cost of in-game items like loot boxes and cosmetics within Once Human. Despite addressing concerns regarding bugs and gameplay mechanics, it appears that the developer isn’t planning to lower prices anytime soon. It is still possible to enjoy the game without spending any money, but with the frequent release of new winter-themed outfits and base decorations for the game’s Winter scenario, which debuted in October, resisting the temptation can be challenging.
