Once Human: How to Farm Acid

As a seasoned gamer with hundreds of hours spent in various survival games, I can confidently say that farming Acid in Once Human is an essential aspect of progression. The material plays a crucial role in creating Gunpowder and ammunition, so it’s important for players to know how to efficiently obtain it.

In the game “Once Human,” acid plays a crucial role as it is essential for making gunpowder and ammunition. Luckily, players can easily acquire acid through various methods, which this guide will outline by discussing two productive activities.

As a gamer, I can tell you that this guide shares some techniques on making Acid even when you’re away from your game. However, keep in mind that relying solely on this passive method might not yield enough of the material for you. It is recommended to use it as an addition to more hands-on farming methods instead.

Once Human: Acid Farm

As a gamer, I’d suggest this: Before embarking on my Acid farming journey, I recommend preparing Preserved Deviated Chops first. This tasty dish, which I can only create after unlocking Dishes 3, a Tier 4 Logistics Memetic, boosts my Acid acquisition by an impressive 50% whenever I defeat Deviants. To cook up this delectable treat, all I need is an Electric Stove or Kitchen Set.

In the Red Sands’ Blackfell area, Lacey, a local vendor, offers Peppercorn Seeds for sale to players. Her location is marked by the coordinates 4111, -1475. Survival game enthusiasts can use these seeds to cultivate Peppercorn plants and subsequently employ them in crafting their Preserved Deviated Chops.

Production Facility Events

In simpler terms, Production Facilities are equipment located in various game Settlements, indicated on the map above. They trigger defensive events where players engage in protecting the facility from enemies. These encounters yield Acid as a reward. Players can start these events by inserting Blackfell Refinery and Extraction Permits into the machines. You can obtain these permits by looting crates, especially if you’ve invested time in completing exploration quests within the game “Once Human.”

Players aiming to gather Acid via Once Human‘s Production Facility events are strongly advised to do so in a group setting. While solo play is an option, teaming up with others significantly enhances the experience and efficiency.

Kill Deviants

Deviants are an enemy type that has a chance to drop Acid when slain, and players who are looking to amass large quantities of the material can simply spend some time in locations where these foes appear in high numbers. For example, Once Human‘s Holt Town is an excellent place to farm Acid, due to the high-density of Deviants that spawn within it, and players can find this Settlement at coordinates 3818, -4451 in Chalk Peak.

As a seasoned player with countless hours spent exploring the vast landscapes of this game world, I can confidently share my two cents on farming Acid in Holt Town. Based on my personal experience, I’d recommend considering other locations if you’re not yet at level 30. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s possible to take down the Deviants in Holt Town before hitting that mark. But let me tell you, the going gets tougher as the levels rise.

Once Human: How to Farm Acid

For players aiming to generate additional Acid without being actively engaged, consider establishing a passive system focusing on pumping contaminated water, extracting Impure Acid from it, and transforming this material into Acid. Although this method is relatively slow, follow these steps to get started:

  1. Unlock Water Pumps (Logistics – Tier 3), Brewing Barrels (Logistics – Tier 4), and Reverse Osmosis Purifiers (Logistics – Tier 5).
  2. Move territory in Once Human to the edge of a polluted water source. Such a source (4654, -2507) has been marked on the map that is above, though it is certainly not the only one.
  3. Build Water Pumps in polluted water, and connect them to an Osmosis Water Purifier. The purifier should now extract Impure Acid from the contaminated water.
  4. Connect the Osmosis Water Purifier to Brewing Barrels.
  5. Place Pure Water into the top row of the Brewing Barrel (Pure Water Input) and Impure Acid into the middle row (Raw Material(s) Input).
  6. Wait for Acid to appear in the bottom row of the Brewing Barrel (Beverage Output).
