The survival game set in a post-apocalyptic open world, known as Once Human, is now making its way onto the latest console generations, specifically PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Originating from the Chinese studio, Starry Studio, the game “Once Human” was launched last year on personal computers, generating quite a buzz.
Apart from unveiling the release date for the console version, the developers simultaneously revealed that Version 2.0 has been launched today, featuring a fresh Player versus Environment (PvE) scenario, new rewards, and additional content.
Once Human PS5, Xbox Series X|S Versions Confirmed
The news bulletin states that the game “Once Human” is planned to appear on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S around 2026. Although an exact release date hasn’t been pinned down just yet, it’s promising to know that the developers are close to wrapping things up, as they confirm they are nearly done with production.
The developers have plans to unveil previews and tailored enhancements for different platforms in the near future. Starting today, you can add this game to your wishlist on both the PlayStation Network Store and Xbox Store. By doing so, you’ll be eligible for special early-bird perks when the game launches on these consoles.
Apart from enjoying console versions, I’ve jumped right into the fresh PvE scenario live for PC gamers under Annual Version 2.0. Dubbed Endless Dreams, this immersive world transports me to a Nightmare realm that developers describe as brimming with peculiar, trippy aspects like old CRT TVs and deserted amusement parks.
In the Annual Version 2.0 events, Human participants will earn rewards by accomplishing various tasks. For finishing specific tasks, each player gets 11 Lightforge Ingots for free. Additionally, there are other rewards up for grabs through in-game activities like Dreamland Wonder mini-games, saving the giant Chefosaurus Rex, and daily log-ins.
As a seasoned gamer, let me tell you about this awesome survival game I recently got hooked on – Once Human. If you haven’t heard of it yet, don’t worry, because it’s been keeping 134,000 gamers entertained on Steam! I’ve joined the ranks of these players who have given the game a thumbs up, enjoying every minute spent in this thrilling adventure.
On Open Critic, the game has received a robust “Strong” rating, an impressive achievement for a free-to-play title. Not only did Once Human secure a spot on TopMob’s list of Best Survival Games for 2024, but it also managed to sneak into their Top 10 Multiplayer Games from the previous year as well.
Let’s cross our fingers that the console versions come out on time. As soon as they announce a specific release date, we’ll share it with our audience.
