Once Human is getting three new scenarios, “coming to console in the future”

As a seasoned gamer with decades under my belt, I must say, NetEase Games has truly outdone themselves with their announcement for Once Human! The prospect of diving into new scenarios like “Code: Purification”, “Code: Deviation”, and “Code: Broken” in 2025 is nothing short of exhilarating.

NetEase Games has shared specifics about Once Human, concluding the year with the news that its mobile adaptation will launch in April 2025.

In the “Year-End Announcement”, the team officially announced that the mobile version of our game will be available from 2025 onwards, and you can pre-register now for it. However, what might really pique your interest is the arrival of three new storylines in 2025, specifically in Q3. These captivating additions are named “Code: Purification”, “Code: Deviation”, and “Code: Broken”.

Furthermore, the developer has indicated their plans for “On Human” to transition to console platforms as well, aiming for complete cross-platform compatibility so that players can enjoy the game together, no matter what device they’re using.


 

Here’s the details on all three scenarios:

  • Code: Purification is a scenario where players must prevent the environment from becoming polluted via dynamic events. They must band together and clear the pollution building up to return the world to its uncorrupted state. Code: Purification has several potential endings for players to see, as their actions can alter the direction of the scenario.
  • Code: Deviation is centered around the ally Deviations, who are among Once Human’s most popular characters. In this scenario, players will be hunting and capturing Deviations, fusing them into new iterations, and pitting them against each other in battle. Those who raise the strongest Deviations and fight their way through Tournaments will earn special rewards!
  • Code: Broken is a manic PvP free-for-all, where teams and solo players will battle it out over ten days. This scenario will be pure chaos, as randomized events (like airdrops) offer resources and change the flow of combat. Those who gather resources can even develop apocalyptic superweapons, forcing enemies to try and dismantle them. Like Code: Purification, this event will have multiple possible endings with different rewards depending on the outcome.

In addition to what’s already planned for Once Human in 2025, the release of The Visional Wheel is scheduled for January 16. This innovative tool will be integrated into current storylines to offer fresh content and challenge players to devise novel combat tactics.

An illustration is the “Lunar Oracle” phenomenon, where a blood moon arises, leading to strange occurrences in the untamed wilderness. This lunar event amplifies the strength of Deviants and depletes players’ mental stability. To endure and persist under the intense moonlight, players must continually vanquish adversaries to replenish their stability. During these periods, players can collect higher-value resources, mine rarer minerals, and slay more formidable foes. Furthermore, Mystical Crates will appear in the treacherous wilderness, housing Morphed Deviations and peculiar red crystals that can be utilized to create exclusive artifacts.

In the first half of 2025, a much-demanded feature is set to arrive at Once Human – Custom Servers! With this feature, players can personalize their gaming experience by adjusting the game’s difficulty level, making it easier or harder according to their preference. Additionally, they can invite friends to join them in exploring these mysterious new realms together. In 2025, we will also introduce Early Access Servers, enabling gamers to try out fresh scenarios before they become available to everyone.

2024 was simply phenomenal for me as a fan of Once Human, with the game swiftly gaining an enormous following. I can hardly contain my excitement for 2025, as it promises even more captivating content throughout the year!
