The “Long Journey” quest, in particular, has been a delightful experience for me. Interacting with the Glass Jellyfish and helping her reunite with her father has been an emotional rollercoaster.
As a gamer in the world of “Once Human,” I’ve discovered that there’s more to this game than just progressing through the main story by defeating Rift Entities at various Monoliths and activating Rift Anchors. There are plenty of side tasks that, although not necessary for completing the story, provide cool rewards. Some of these tasks involve solving intricate puzzles, while others are relatively simple. Let me walk you through how to finish one of the easier side quests: “Long Journey.”
How To Start The Long Journey Task
The “Long Journey” side task can be started by interacting with the Glass Jellyfish, a character located on the south side of Rippleby in the Iron River region (coordinates: 7633, -4172). Upon interacting with Glass Jellyfish, you can exhaust her dialogue to accept her request to visit key locations around the map, documenting each visit with a photograph — with the final destination seemingly reuniting her with her father. You will also receive the Aqua Bell pendant, which will be necessary for summoning the Glass Jellyfish at each key location.
Finding The Wind Turbine & Taking A Photo Of The Glass Jellyfish
When you start on the “Long Journey” extra mission, you’ll be directed to locate a wind turbine. It’s situated on a hillside to the west of Rippleby (coordinates: 6971, -3919). Keep in mind that this wind turbine is protected by a contingent of Rosetta soldiers, so brace yourself for a firefight before arriving. Once you’ve eliminated all the adversaries in the vicinity, proceed to the platform at the wind turbine’s base. Then, open your inventory (press I key) and find the Aqua Bell pendant. Activate it by pressing F and call forth the Glass Jellyfish to the site.
After being captivated by the wind turbine, the Glass Jellyfish requests that you snap a picture of her there. To grant her request, just hit the Tab key and choose the Camera option on your device. Make sure to focus the camera lens on the Glass Jellyfish before hitting the Enter key to capture the image. Once the photo is taken, she will disappear, allowing you to proceed to the next location.
Finding The Scarecrow & Taking A Photo Of The Glass Jellyfish
In your journey ahead, you’ll find yourself at a solitary scarecrow (coordinates: 7009,-4354), nestled on the western side of Rippleby Market Workshop. Much like before, you can bring forth the Glass Jellyfish using your Aqua Bell pendant at this spot. Following that action, snap a picture with your camera to advance in the quest. Once captured, the Glass Jellyfish will vanish, paving the way for your next destination.
Finding The Bonfire On The Roof & Taking A Photo Of The Glass Jellyfish
After snapping a photo of the Glass Jellyfish next to the scarecrow, go find a bonfire on Aiden’s Auto Repair’s rooftop (located at coordinates: 7144, -4510). Be cautious as this area is inhabited by hostile enemies. Eliminate them before proceeding with the quest. Reach the rooftop and employ your Aqua Bell pendant to bring the Glass Jellyfish over. Similar to earlier, capture another image of it using your camera. Successfully completing this step will allow you to advance to the fourth location.
Finding The Gravestone Of The Glass Jellyfish’s Father & Taking A Photo
Instead of: “The final destination players must go to is the graveyard situated southwest of Brookham (coordinates: 6319, -4669). This place is a fortified area that gradually erodes your mental stability and houses around a dozen adversaries. Make sure to carry a reliable weapon when approaching this location. Similar to the earlier stages, you will need to summon the Glass Jellyfish using the Aqua Bell mission item and then capture her image as per her demand. Once completed, interact with the Glass Jellyfish to exhaust her dialogue. She will express gratitude for your assistance before vanishing, thus concluding the “Long Journey” side quest and granting you the following rewards:”
