Starry Studios’ popular free-to-play survival shooter game titled “Once Human” is set to debut on mobile devices on April 23, providing gamers with the convenience of playing it anytime and anywhere. This game was initially released in July 2024 and immediately gained popularity, maintaining a “Mostly Positive” user rating on Steam even after almost an entire year.
In the open-world, post-apocalyptic indie game, players find themselves on a fictional island named Nalcott following a catastrophic event called Starfall that left little untouched. An alien substance called Stardust contaminates the land, making certain areas hard to traverse and altering plants, animals, and humans alike. The protagonist in “Once Human” is transformed into a Meta, a genetically enhanced individual with special abilities, due to scientific experiments. As expected, an evil corporation orchestrates these events.
Since December, it has been known that the game “Once Human” would eventually make its way onto mobile platforms, and now the release date is almost here. On April 23rd, Starry Studios will officially launch the game on both Android and iOS devices, with pre-registration available right now. To commemorate the mobile version of “Once Human”, the developer is also offering some Steam gift cards, AirPods, and even an iPhone 16 as prizes for a select group of winners.
Once Human Launches on Mobile Platforms in April
It’s been confirmed that Metas can play Nalcott across different platforms, such as mobile devices and PCs. But whether cross-saving will be an option from the start remains uncertain; if it isn’t offered at launch, it’s possible it could be added later. The team at Starry Studios has been actively engaging with their community by hosting regular livestreams and incorporating many suggested features and adjustments into the game.
Fans are still eagerly anticipating updates about whether the game “Once Human” could potentially make its way onto gaming consoles soon. After being playable only on PC for almost a year now, the recent release on mobile platforms has sparked renewed excitement among players who hope to experience the base-building, third-person shooter game on their PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S console.
For now, t Deviation. Moreover, seasons 3 and 4 of the game’s Visual Wheels will be accessible during those later months as well.
