Once Human Mobile Release Window Confirmed

Summary

  • Once Human will be released for mobile devices in April 2025.
  • A trio of new PvE and PvP scenarios are also on the way.
  • Private servers and console ports have also been teased by the development team.

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming mobile release of Once Human next year is a highly anticipated event for me and many others who have been following this game since its initial release. The survival-PvPvE genre has always intrigued me, and Once Human offers an immersive post-apocalyptic landscape that keeps me coming back for more.

In simple terms, the mobile version of Starry Studio’s open-world survival game titled “Once Human,” which was initially scheduled for release in 2024 but has been postponed to April 2025, will soon be available. Initially well-received, “Once Human” faced technical issues and player criticism, but the developers have since made adjustments to the gameplay. The game is now preparing for more growth with new modes, storylines, and mechanics slated for release in 2025.

In spite of the Once Human team working tirelessly to resolve numerous problems, the game has maintained a consistent player base, steadily growing in popularity. Set after the catastrophic Starfall event that transformed most life into Deviations, players assume the role of an advanced Meta-Human, battling to endure in the post-apocalyptic environment. Key elements such as resource collection, construction and management of items, and preservation of the character’s psychological wellbeing are integral aspects of gameplay.

Starry Studio recently announced its plans for the popular game “Once Human” during their end-of-year live stream. They revealed that the mobile version of the game is expected to launch by April 2025, with the delay attributed to ensuring compatibility and performance across various devices. Additionally, three new PvE and PvP scenarios are in development, including “Code: Broken,” set to release in an early access format before its full rollout. It’s important to note that the last significant content update for “Once Human” was The Way of Winter, released in September 2024, which garnered a mixed reaction from players due to reported bugs, awkward mechanics, and insufficient content.

Among the major changes coming up is the introduction of the Dynamic View, a continuously changing display of in-game factors such as status, environment, and mechanical elements that can alter the game’s dynamics and player motivation. This new feature, named Dynamic View, will be available starting January 16th, 2025. Furthermore, there are plans to allow players to host private servers sometime during the first half of 2025, and a potential console version is in the works, but no release date has been announced yet. The developers also mentioned they are working on resolving issues related to Stronghold Quest registration and enhancing Player vs Player (PvP) intensity within Evolution’s Call.

It’s yet unclear if the developer has taken into account the feedback on their past content when planning their future updates. If they haven’t, Starry Studio might need to offer more incentives to keep players engaged with the game.
