The ratings, initially spotted by Gematsu, include versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X/S. These classifications, which were made public in early August 2024, are the first hint that this critically acclaimed indie metroidvania might expand its availability beyond PC. At this point, Red Candle has not confirmed any plans for console ports.

The recently unveiled age categories suggest that the console editions of “Nine Sols” are being developed, but they provide no information about their current stage of production. Similar to other regulatory bodies worldwide, the DGRC typically doesn’t play the games it rates, instead basing its classifications on the content descriptions.
