As a devoted fan, I’ve been noticing that one specific card combination in the Pokémon Trading Card Game has been ruling supreme, leaving players scrambling to perfect its strategy. Every deck is unique, but certain iterations of this potent Pokémon TCG strategy have proven more effective than others, largely due to an underestimated Pokémon that plays a crucial role.

Currently, the dominant deck setup primarily features Gardevoir EX and Munkidori as its key cards, boasting a formidable combination that can be tough to counter. Interestingly, the TCG sometimes necessitates less-expected Pokemons for support. Recently, it has been uncovered that Jellicent EX seamlessly complements the Munkidori and Gardevoir EX deck, enhancing the competitive potential of an underestimated Pokemon.

Gardevoir and Munkidori Have Made an Unlikely Ally with Jellicent

Its Oceanic Curse ability hinders opponents from employing item or tool cards to thwart my strategies, and its Power Press attack can unleash a staggering 160 points of damage in a single strike. As the game evolves and new Pokémon TCG expansions unfold, this trio of Pokémon might face challenges, but for now, they form an almost invincible team.

In the upcoming extension of the Pokemon Trading Card Game (PTCG), there’s an indication that it may reintroduce the concept of Mega Evolution, similar to how Pokemon Legends: Z-A is expected to handle it on the video game side. During the latest Pokemon Presents, six new Mega Evolution cards were unveiled, including one for Mega Gardevoir EX. This suggests that Gardevoir could continue being a valuable asset in competitive decks despite the introduction of potent new cards. However, the future may be less clear for Jellicent and Munkidori, but their combination will likely remain a formidable move for players who can utilize it effectively.

In essence, while both the Pokemon video games and Trading Card Game share common themes such as characters and battles, they differ significantly in terms of strategy. This flexibility means that even lesser-known Pokemon like Jellicent can potentially regain their footing and become competitive choices, depending on how they align with a player’s strategy.
