A conspicuous imitation of Pokémon has made its way onto Steam’s wishlist. Not long ago, the developers behind “Fay Keeper,” an innovative creature-gathering game where players accumulate and fight hordes of creatures known as “Fays,” reached out to TopMob. The proposal was for a collaborative venture, which is a rare opportunity in today’s gaming industry.
Initially examining the game, it seemed strikingly similar to Pokémon, suggesting a strong resemblance or imitation.

Essentially, regarding this matter, the creators of the game have acknowledged, albeit subtly on social platforms, when fans brought up similarities to Pokémon. BGS Studios openly acknowledges drawing inspiration from the renowned franchise but ensures that there will be sufficient distinct elements in their title to prevent any possible legal disputes.
The concept of Pokemon was immensely popular, aiming to evoke nostalgia, yet we’re developing numerous distinct elements that haven’t been seen in previous Pokemon games,” the post says.
In response to a query about copyright, BGS Studios stated, “Though we drew inspiration from a deeply nostalgic source, every individual pixel and coding line is being created anew by us. Additionally, we’re including mechanics that weren’t part of the original reference, making it both familiar and uniquely different.
