The games “Persona 3 FES” and “Persona 3 Portable“, both re-releases of the original game, had unique features that were not present in each other.
In simple terms, Persona 3 Portable stands out with its optional female protagonist, whereas Persona 3 FES offered a story resolution called “The Answer.” Neither improvement was present in the original or in the initial release of Persona 3 Reload. Instead, Reload focused on refining the base created by the original and incorporating enhancements from later versions.
In contrast to some vocal fans’ hopes, the female protagonist is yet to appear in Persona 3 Reload. Developers explained that incorporating FeMC’s storyline would entail an extensive revamp, which they found too daunting a task. Fortunately, this didn’t apply to Persona 3 FES. However, crafting The Answer as downloadable content contrasts significantly from creating it as part of a comprehensive remake. Now that Episode Aigis has been unveiled, it demonstrates an innovative solution to one of the main hurdles in adapting The Answer.

The Response sparked debates back then due to several factors, yet none diminished its impact in the long run. Notably, the initial version of The Response was criticized for its lengthy gameplay and tough battles, aspects often overpowered by the emotional relief offered by its narrative. Yet, the clearest indication of Episode Aigis’ focus lies within its management of the Persona Compendium. Players now have the advantage of continuing their progress from the initial game, a boon for completionists. Additionally, it offers substantial assistance during challenging combat sequences, particularly when summoning Theurgy Spells.
In other words, Episode Aigis serves as an ideal conclusion for Persona 3 Reload. The narrative wouldn’t feel fully resolved without it, but what makes it even more appealing is the noticeable enhancements in gameplay. Originally, players had to begin anew in The Answer’s version, and Episode Aigis offers a fantastic option for those seeking a more prepared experience before taking on the challenging battles that follow.
